This upcoming event is a video conference to discuss a specific Sam Harris video. This meeting is not a debate meeting. If you're into having debates and arguments, then this meeting is not for you. The purpose of this meeting is to have a civil conversation about a video which you can relate to and resonates with you in some positive way.

I'm trying to put together a secular group of like-minded people with common interests. Some topics of my own personal interests include Consciousness, Time, Quantum Mechanics, The Illusion of the Self, The Illusion of Free Will and Mindfulness Meditation.

Sam Harris in this video interview covers a wide range of topics where you may find at least one topic which interests you. This video was published on YouTube channel "Big Think" on March 7, 2025 and is just over 1 hour, 41 minutes long. This video is segmented into chapters so if you don't have time to watch the entire video, you can just watch the specific chapter you're interested in.

During the meeting, you can mention a specific start and stop timestamp from the video (i.e. a clip) which interests you and which you would like to discuss further. I'll then play the video from that timestamp. Please keep the video excerpt you choose under 3 minutes to allow time for discussion with you and amongst the other participants. Lastly, if you're actively speaking, please make sure your video camera is turned on as this makes for better interaction amongst participants and if you're not actively speaking, please keep your microphone muted.
